Patakosmos Press Open Access

Patakosmos Press Open Access is a cultural and scientific initiative dedicated to disseminating high-quality educational materials, with a particular focus on pataphysical studies. Our goal is to make these contents freely accessible in different languages through open licenses that allow free sharing and use.

Our Project

The initiative stems from a collaboration with patakosmos.com, a reference portal for pataphysical studies that collects an extensive collection of primary research materials in different languages.

Our Objectives

  • Ensure free access to all materials through our website and digital platform

  • Provide support and resources for translating existing pataphysical texts

  • Publish translations in PDF format through Patakosmos Press

  • Promote multilingualism by publishing content in all languages

  • Spread knowledge of open educational resources and encourage their active use

How to Collaborate with Us

If you wish to contribute to the translation of pataphysical texts, here’s how to proceed:

  • Select a text from our archive or propose another pataphysical text (verifying copyright status beforehand)

  • Complete the translation in your language

  • Submit your text through the authorization form available via the button below

All volunteer translators are recognized as official collaborators of Patakosmos Press, and their names are preserved in recognition of their contribution. Once approved, translations are made available free of charge in PDF format on Patakosmos.com.

Copyright and Licenses

Our Open Access model guarantees:

  • Protection of original copyrights

  • Maintenance of academic standards through peer review

  • Possibility to publish print editions

  • Professional content archiving

  • The same quality standards as traditional publications

  • The only real difference is that the end reader doesn’t have to pay to access the content.

Legal Basis

Open Access is based on:

  • Authorization from the copyright holder (for recent works)

  • Copyright expiration (for older works)

We recommend using Creative Commons licenses to manage copyrights, although other open-content licenses or custom authorizations are allowed (in this case, we recommend consulting a legal expert).
